EYFS Spring 1

National Storytelling week 2nd Feb- 6th Feb

Year 6 buddied up and became storytellers for the afternoon. EYFS love listening to stories.

Odd or Even?

We have been doing lots of counting using tens frames to help us. This we we introduced odd and even numbers and used the tens frame to help us.

The Blackpool Better Start Team came to visit EYFS to talk about looking after their teeth.

We had lots of activities to help us learn about making the right choices for healthy teeth and how to look after our teeth. Every child received a toothbrush and tube of toothpaste. Thank you to all Our lovely parents and grandparents who popped in to see us.

Understanding the world

We learnt about different seeds and plants. We loved listening to Jack and a Beanstalk at storytime.

Sunflowers

We painted a sunflower and learnt about the artist Van Gough. We have planted sunflower seeds. I wonder who will grow the tallest sunflower?

This week we have celebrated Chinese New Year!

Vegetable Soup

We made Vegetable in class. We read Oliver's vegetables and enjoyed learning about different vegetables.
